OUR STORY

The name Portland General Eater originated as a piggyback to Portland’s well known utility company. Why? With a similar name, it would bring more recognition as well as a good laugh. P.G.E focuses on curating premium content with a beautiful aesthetic to compliment local eateries and bring a unique perspective to the foodie community.

Originally from Southern California, our passion and love for food guided us to Portland. The food community and people here in general, have welcomed us with open arms and we wanted to give back in whatever way we can. Once or twice a week, we go out on foodie adventures to not only support our curious hunger, but the local food spots that have provided for the people! Follow our adventures and read our blog for tips and recommendations on local eateries.

This trio consisting of Michael, Subin, and German Shepherd, Mimi - home is wherever they are all together. Subin and Michael both work from home allowing them to spend ample amount of time with Mimi. Their full time jobs support their love and part time super hero duties of providing foodie tips to the hungry community. Although not his main job, Michael has background experience in food and product photography for professional clients, helping boost engagement on social media and website content. Subin is well versed in the professional tech industry, with skills including, but not limited to, coding, web design, and providing consultation for E-commerce businesses.
