Our journey to find Korean chicken after a photo shoot for the Ankeny Tap and Table, led us to FOMO Chicken. The chicken? Not bad, although the size of the chicken can use some work.

Flavor was on point but the meatiness and juiciness was a bit lacking. Maybe it was an off day? Their menu had some options but each use the same sized fried chicken chunks and depending on the sides your order comes with, it came make or break your meal. What surprised us most about FOMO Chicken was their mashed potatoes, BOMB.

Almost took the spotlight, which is not what you would expect from a chicken based food cart! The rice that was served with the Korean spicy chicken was dry, hard, and disappointing.

Rice is important when eating Asian style chicken, it is a staple and such a great filler-upper. You’re open to try but you might be better off looking for a different option. If you have no choice, I would get the Southern Fried Chicken.
