Artwork, design, cute aesthetic, and very instagrammable food were enough to draw us into Mikiko!

Located and surrounded by a neighborhood, we got a family friendly vibe and the employees working were as sweet as their donuts! For us, our experience eating mochi donuts in Japan may have ruined our experience eating here. The mochi donuts themselves were not bad, but the hardened glaze they use to flavor each donut was not for us…

The flavors they had at the time we went were not very appetizing or what you would call “typical” flavors. We would best describe their flavors as experimental. Take this as a grain of salt as this is coming from people who have eaten the original mochi donuts from Japan.

We found ourselves scraping off the top glaze to eat the mochi donut, unfortunate, but we couldn’t fathom throwing them out. At the end of the day, if you’re looking for a quick spot to grab something (very) sweet, it wouldn’t hurt to try.
