We first found Shanghai’s Best on Yelp and immediately thought that we had to try. Pan fried dumplings, if done correctly, is flavortown. What makes a good pan fried dumpling? Crispy and crunchy bottom, juicy meaty filling, and a soft/chewy skin. Shanghai’s Best passed with flying colors. Juice?!? Take a look for yourself:
Amazing dumplings are hard and rare to come by. Gyozas at ramen shops are usually sub-par and dumplings at big chain restaurants are nothing to be impressed about. Shanghai’s Best has our #1 spot for dumplings at the moment. Let’s not forget how friendly the staff but also… location. Located inside the Pine Street Market, you have a taproom to grab some drinks, Pleasure Burger to grab some fries or burgers, and lots of seating to enjoy yourself. No rubbing elbows on strangers.
